Suzanne is deeply committed to service. She volunteered as a team leader for NY Cares from 1998 to 2015, was a volunteer domestic violence and sexual assault counselor for five years, served as the Vice Chair of the Board for the NYC Alliance Against Sexual Assault, and provided disaster response services following September 11th and to victims of Hurricane Katrina.
She is currently a member and past Vice President of the alumni board for Columbia University’s Graduate School of Social Work, and is a founding member of Higher Heights for America which promotes Black women’s civic and political leadership.
Suzanne has a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She is an alumna of the American Express Leadership Academy and was a 2016-2017 FUSE Executive Fellow.
